Honoring Traditional Medicine and Community Access

Albuquerque, NM – August 2011 – The Kalpulli Izkalli and the Topahkal Traditional Medicine Clinic is honored to invite the community of Albuquerque and the surrounding areas to the 5th Anniversary Celebration and Community Healing Event, the Doña Predicanda Perea Encuentro de Medicina Tradicional, on Saturday, September 10, 2011, at the Westside Community Center at 1250 Isleta Blvd., SW.

Did you know that Kalpulli Izkalli was the first organization for promoting, protecting, and practicing Traditional Medicine in New Mexico. For the past 5 years we have held the Annual Doña Predicanda Perea Gathering of Traditional Medicine where community and healers come together to celebrate and honor the medicine and those that have come before us with this incredible legacy of healing ourselves. We invite you to join us in this wonderful community celebration. (See attached flyer for details). This event is community led with very little outside resources. We depend on folks like you to continue healing ourselves and our community, and keeping this medicine ALIVE.  Donate Today!
